DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – After flying off on a ‘staycation’ of sorts, the feathered friend who escaped from Summer Adventures in Fair Park has been found.
Handlers say Curly, a Green Winged Macaw, was found in the M Streets area of east Dallas.
Curly took to the skies on Tuesday, during a Wings of Wonder bird show. And this isn’t the first time Curly has set off on a personal adventure. Three weeks ago Curly and another Macaw, named Moe, went on the lam from the attraction. That time a neighbor spotted the birds, together, not far from the Dallas Arboretum, about five miles from Fair Park.
It was a neighbor who again spotted the wayward bird and notified Summer Adventures.
Curly is now in the care of handlers and won’t have any more opportunities to fly the coop. After the bird’s latest escape Summer Adventures announced that, “Curly will be removed from the show for the foreseeable future.”
